1. Overview

Threadmap ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Threadmap app ("App").

• The short version: Threadmap processes your photos entirely on your device. No photo or pattern data is ever uploaded to our servers. We do not require an account and we do not sell your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Photos: Photos you select are processed locally on your device. They are never transmitted to us or any third party.
• Face data: When you select a photo that contains people, the App uses Apple's on-device Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect the location and size of faces in that photo — expressed only as rectangular bounding boxes. The App does not collect, generate, or store faceprints, facial-geometry maps, facial features, expressions, identity, or any biometric template, and it does not use Face ID or any authentication data. These face bounding boxes exist only in memory for the moment a pattern is being generated; they are used solely to give faces greater visual weight so they remain recognizable after the photo is reduced to a limited cross-stitch color palette. The face data is never written to disk, never saved with the pattern, never linked to your identity, and never transmitted off the device. All processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework; no face data is sent to us or any third party.
• Saved patterns: Cross-stitch patterns you save are stored in SwiftData on your device only. Saved patterns contain only the resulting stitch grid and thread colors — they do not contain face data.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Purchases and Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

If you make an in-app purchase, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to manage subscriptions and entitlements. RevenueCat may collect:

• An anonymous app user identifier (generated by RevenueCat — not linked to your name or email)
• Purchase history and subscription status
• Device platform, OS version, and App version
• Apple App Store transaction identifiers
